Quest by Vantage short scale bass. Update January 2009: It now has a proud new owner. Made in Japan in 1983. Made in the Matsumoku factory. Rare 25″ scale. 38″ overall length. 2″ width at the 12th fret.

i was thinking of buying a short scale bass but people tell me that they are shit for recording, i think thats bull cause last time i checked the beatles did pretty good with it in studio lol

I no longer own the bass. However, you are correct that it is a bit neck heavy because of the overall size and design.
